The Monthly Economic Report for December 2024 is now available!

MER Changes

There was a request that we look at the way Imports and Exports work:

• Imports & Exports work by looking at Ship Movements between Regions.

  • They don’t count the Ship, or Modules/Ammo fitted to the ship, or implants ‘fitted’ to the character.

  • They do count all items in the Cargo, Ship Maintenance Bay, or any other specialty bays.

    • This includes Assembled Ships, modules fitted to those assembled ships, etc.

  • We would like to revise this, so only non-assembled items are counted in Imports & Exports. However, we can’t without changes to the way we log ship movement events. This is being reviewed with the EVE Development Team.

• Due to an issue, we're missing data for 2024-11-01 for sinks and faucets. Data displayed starts on 2024-11-02.

• A large part of the jump in Production value is due to an increase in the value and number of ships being produced.

The Monthly Economic Report for October 2024 is now available!

For October, we have made the following changes to the MER:

• The issue with certain items being excluded from the economic indices calculation has been identified and corrected.

• The Deathless Custodians faucet has been replaced by broker fees in the Top 8 faucets & sinks chart following the conclusion of the Zarzakh siege in late September.

The economic summary shows the Ship Index continuing to drop, with a ~4.5% drop over the last 12 months. Conversely, the Mineral Price Index has reached a new record of 287.

The Monthly Economic Report for September 2024 is now available!

For September, the MER has received minor fixes to the way we categorize types for mining.

The economic summary shows the Ship Index continuing to drop, with a ~4.5% drop over the last 12 months. Conversely, the Mineral Price Index has reached a new record of 287.

The Monthly Economic Report for August 2024 is now available!

In August, we observed a significant upward trend in the money supply, reaching 2,190T ISK. By the end of the month, this represented a 1.5% increase compared to the end of July, when the supply was 2,158T ISK.

Last month, we identified several ore types that were missing from the charts and these have since been added:

• Ducinium

• Eifyrium

• Mordunium

• Mutanite

• Ytirium

The Monthly Economic Report for March 2024 is now available!

This month we changed the valuation of asteroids to be closer to the actual market value and less affected by price fluctuations caused by low volume trades that highly affect the asteroid prices. We also removed items from the Consumer Price Index that we feel should not be in there, because these items are mostly traded between players and NPCs.

Asteroids are now valued at 70% refining value. The following graphs are affected by this change:

• Production vs. Destruction vs. Mining

• Summary of Key Economic Figures by Region

Overseer Personal Effects, Sleeper Components, Triglavian Data, Rogue Drone Analysis Data and Bounty Encrypted Bonds were removed from the CPI. These changes have minor effects on the following graphs:
